Hillsborough County school property may be transformed into affordable housing
The Hillsborough County School Board has ushered in a plan to possibly transform school property into affordable workforce apartments as housing prices continue to put a strain on families’ budgets. Three development companies — Blue Sky Communities, Related Urban Development Group and Wire Development — will be tapped to redevelop unidentified school property should any be made available.
