Florida tops U-Haul’s ‘growth states’ list for 2019
The Sunshine State has topped U-Haul’s list of “growth states” based on net trucks entering and exiting the state in a calendar year. The Phoenix-based moving company tracked the net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks entering a state versus leaving that state during a calendar year. Lakewood Ranch, West Villages and Starkey Ranch are among the top-selling master-planned communities in 2019, according to data from Robert Charles Lesser & Co. Metro Tampa home prices rose 4.9 percent in the past year, the second-highest among major U.S. cities, the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Index reported.
