Two years after selling for $88 million, Channel district apartment tower Skyhouse has new owners again

Skyhouse Channelside, a 23-story apartment tower near the University of South Florida's new downtown medical school, has been sold. The buyer, an entity led by Willner Realty & Development Co., is a “long-term investor” who plans make improvements to the property, Cushman & Wakefield Inc. said Friday. Apartments near Rocky Point sold for $65.75 million

A San Diego firm has picked up a Tampa apartment property for more than $65 million. ConAm 2017 Multifamily Opportunity Fund paid $65.75 for Audubon Village, a 477-unit apartment development at 5830 Memorial Highway in the Rocky Point area. The purchase price breaks down to $137,840 per unit. The seller, Atlanta-based Cortland Partners, paid $41.9 million for the property in 2013, according to Hillsborough County property records. Silvestre Dangond, one of the most popular singers in Colombia, has listed his South Florida home for sale, and acquired a lot in the same area for a larger mansion. Marianna Dubinsky of Engel & Völkers Miami Coral Gables represents Dangond in both deals. He paid $1.22 million to Francisco A.
