Vertical construction officially began on Wednesday on the 22-acre mixed-use Midtown Tampa project as developers, local executives and city officials came to mark the occasion. Virage Bayshore, the luxury condo tower on the site of the former Colonnade restaurant in Tampa, has reached its full height of 24 stories.
